2018 Leadership Camps

Sustainable Hope International (SHI) and Sustainable Hope Thailand Foundation (SHTF) will be conducting its 7th annual of its highly successful 2018 “We Can English club”  at two of the 54 Government Welfare school in Thailand.  These leadership camps providing a brighter future for over 600 students in their respective school. SHI has developed a curriculum of a three-year basic life, leadership, character skill and teaches English as a second language to the club member in grades Freshman to Seniors.  Each school will send 9 student leaders from their school and two English teachers.  The three-day workshop will train and certify the students and teachers the process of recruiting and forming and conducting a club in their school, a “We Can English Club”.  The first workshop will be conducted at the Chiang mai Government Welfare School on May 17-19.  Also, coming to this workshop will be 2 clubs from Chiang dau who will be sending their students leaders and teachers to the workshop. Six participating schools from the Issan Provinces  will meet at the Government Welfare School Rajaprachanukroh #29 located in Si sa ket Thailand on May 23-25.

 

These students will become Thai leaders in the future.

2017 We Can Club Workshops

Sustainable Hope International will be conducting their 6th annual “We Can English Club” Camps this May in two locations in Thailand.  The first camp will be in Si Saket Thailand at the Rajapajanugroh #29 Government Welfare School, on May 4 through 6, 2017.  Ten schools have been invited and each school will send two Thai English Teachers and 9 Senior High school students to be trained and certified to conduct the clubs three-year curriculum that provides training of basic life, leadership and character skills for their individual club members in their schools.

The second workshop will be held at Chiang Dao’s Thailand Suksasongkhorn Government Welfare school on May 9 through the 11th 2017 and will host 4 Government Schools from the Chiang Mai Province.  Four government welfare schools have been invited and each school will send two Thai English Teachers and 9 Senior High school students to be trained and certified.

We Can Clubs

In the next few days starting November 10, 2014, Ken Brookens, CEO and Field Manager for Sustainable Hope Thailand Foundation will be visiting eight Government Welfare School that have complete the certification training and have formed “We Can English Clubs”. One of our schools is the Chiang Dao “We Can English Club pictured here and we want to extend to them our thanks and appreciation for their Hospitality in hosting the the “we Can English Club” Camp last May. We hope to see who has qualified qualify for the free T Shirts this November. In the next few days all of the workshops clubs each of the schools will be featured here.

Which your clubs will qualify for the “We Can English Club” T Shirt November 2014?

We will determine the students that have qualified for the We Can English Club T Shirt. Each Clubs teacher/facilitator will need to have the club secretary to document and forward the information to Sustainable Hope International on its website. The club students that have completed the following will be eligible for the T Shirt:

Schools needs to have an organized and active “We Can English Club”

Have had 6 to 8 club meetings before the end of the first semester (October 2014)

The club secretary needs to fill in the forms in the Secretary Hand Book and forward the reports to Sustainable Hope International via the www.wecanclub.org web site

The guidelines for the “We Can English Club can be found in the Facilitator Certification Training Manual provided to the facilitators at the May Training workshop.
